INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY
Inductive Bible study(IBS) is a method of studying the Bible that involves observing, interpreting, and applying the text. It is a process of discovery that allows you to learn what the Bible says for yourself. There are three main steps to inductive Bible study: 1. Observation: This is where you carefully read the text and pay attention to the details. What do you notice about the passage? What words or phrases stand out to you? What are the main ideas? In this phase, you closely examine the text, paying attention to details such as words, phrases, context, and literary devices. You seek to understand what the text is saying, without making any assumptions. 2. Interpretation: Once you have a good understanding of the text, you can begin to interpret it.
