THE BEST-P Roadmap
Finding Purpose on Campus: How BEST-P Transformed My Faith Journey
Campus life is one of the most transformative experiences a person can have. Beyond lectures and exams, it’s about finding community—those small groups that become family, the mentors who shape your path, and the moments that redefine your purpose. As a student at JKUAT Main Campus, I’ve been fortunate to find all these things. But one experience stands out: my journey with the BEST-P Program, a hidden gem that has shaped not just my faith, but thousands of lives since 1989.
Let me rewind a bit. In 2020, I was at a crossroads. I’d just discovered Geomatics Engineering through a teacher who ignited my curiosity, and the course became my obsession. But amid the technical equations and late-night study sessions, I kept circling back to deeper questions:
Have you ever longed to understand the Bible beyond surface-level reading?
Do you want to confidently share or defend your faith in a world of shifting ideologies?
What if you could craft a Bible study guide that resonates with others?
These questions led me to BEST-P, a program born from student-led vision after the Ezra Conference in 1989. Its name breaks down simply:
Bible
Exposition
Self
Training
Program
But what does that mean? Think of it as a toolkit for spiritual growth and leadership. Over weeks, we dive into six core areas:
Biblical Hermeneutics (interpreting Scripture accurately)
Inductive Bible Study (discovering truths through observation)
Expository Preaching (communicating God’s Word with clarity)
Homiletics (crafting meaningful sermons)
Apologetics (defending faith with reason and love)
Writing a Bible Study Guide (creating resources that inspire others)
Why This Matters for You
Whether you’re a student seeking deeper community, a graduate navigating post-campus life, or someone curious about faith, BEST-P meets you where you are. It’s not about having all the answers; it’s about learning to ask better questions and grow alongside others.
Join the Legacy
For over 30 years, BEST-P has equipped students to lead, teach, and inspire. Now it’s your turn.
