Why the Bible?
What is the meaning of life?
Is there a manual that could offer a fair view of life? What about the diverse ideas and schools of thought?
Ever wondered what life is like?
The Timothy initiative as recorded in the book "Disciples Making Disciples" highlights four big questions whose answers are found in the Bible. These are
- Where do I come from?
- Why do I exist?
- How should I live?
- Where will I go in the future?
Throughout time immemorial, many have tried to answer these questions, and the responses are quite dynamic—like a whole spectrum of thoughts that are ever-changing, sometimes even conflicting. Yet amidst all this, we have seen a fair share of satisfaction.
I happened to attend the 2023 Ezra Conference, and the National Director could not stop reminding us—Fellowship of Christian Unions—who we are. We are a Bible-believing movement. Every part of our being reflects this. Some have said, "If you cut me anywhere, my blood would be Scripture."
“He was pierced for our transgressions...”
“I and the Father are one...”
“Be strong and courageous...”
These are just a few verses quoting our Master's masterpiece.
Every word is masterfully crafted to paint the clear story of God's redemptive plan—His trustworthy promises and passionate desire for the salvation of all mankind.
Why a Bible-Believing Movement?
-
The Lord has commanded us so.
-
Scripture is trustworthy.
-
The Lion of Judah has overcome the world.
-
The Bible is our manual for holy living.
-
The Bible is the authoritative voice of God.
-
Matters of life and faith are clearly defined within it.
-
And so much more...
