As a student at JKUAT Main Campus, I’ve been fortunate to find all these things. But one experience stands out: my journey with the  BEST-P Program , a hidden gem that has shaped not just my faith, but thousands of lives since 1989. Let me rewind a bit. In 2020, I was at a crossroads. I’d just discovered Geomatics Engineering through a teacher who ignited my curiosity, and the course became my obsession.  This is one of the oldest hymns in any hymnal, written by an anonymous author in the tenth century or earlier.  In the temple of my soul, a pledge I make, To walk the path of purity, for God’s sake. In the Holy Spirit’s strength, I will endure, Abstaining from desires impure. In mind, in heart, in body too, I’ll guard my thoughts, my actions true. A holistic virtue, this purity, In all aspects of life, it shall be. For God’s good will, I will abide, In pursuit of purity, I’ll confide Honoring my body, a sacred shrine, Reserving love for a covenant divine. This pursuit, not just my own affair, But together, in fellowship, we’ll share. A calling both individual and communal, Supporting each other through highs and lows. Temptation may come, but I’ll stand tall, With God’s power, I’ll conquer all, In His strength, I’ll find the way, To live victoriously, day by day. So, with God, myself, and those I love, I pledge to seek purity from above. In this journey, His grace shall be my guide, As I walk in purity, side by side.
